I’ve been putting a lot of focus on my miter cuts lately, especially for crown molding. The precision in those angles can really make or break the finish of a room. I found that using a sliding compound miter saw set to the perfect angle has improved my game tremendously. Anyone else have tips or favorite techniques for achieving those seamless joints?
Using a miter saw is definitely a game-changer. I’ve found that making a few test cuts with scrap wood can really help dial in that perfect angle before committing to the actual molding. Have you tried using a stop block to ensure repeat accuracy for those longer pieces?
I totally agree! Angle adjustments are key. I sometimes use a protractor for precision before cutting.
I’ve found that using backing boards while cutting helps minimize tear-out and gives a cleaner edge on those miter cuts. Have you tried that yet, @elaine_richards82?
