I’ve been experimenting with integrating resin into traditional joinery, and it’s opened up a whole new world of design possibilities. Last week, I made a custom table that features walnut and a blue resin river, and the contrast is stunning. I’m curious if anyone else has tried mixing modern materials with classic woodworking techniques and what their experiences have been.
That resin river sounds amazing — i tried adding epoxy to a table last month, but the curing took forever. Have you found a faster curing resin?

I’ve had good luck with UV resin for a quicker cure, especially when layering. I used it on some coasters last summer, and it was ready to sand in just a couple of hours. Have you considered trying it for your next project? It really speeds things up.

I’ve tried incorporating resin into a few projects too, but I was frustrated by the bubbles that kept popping up. For the blue resin river, I used a vacuum chamber for the pour, and it made a world of difference. It really helps eliminate those pesky bubbles and lets the design shine through.
